I create new
resources as a result of my own practice with my clients, what people
searched for at google on their way to the site, and suggestions that
you send in. Let me know if you
think of anything that would be useful, whether it be self help
material, or therapist resources.Any constructive
feedback is very much appreciated!
If you have
translated, or are able to translate, any of the website's resources,
please send them to be so that I can include them on the Translated Resources page.
You'll find most of
the new resources on the Free Downloads
pages, and
they are also directly linked below.
I'm experimenting with using
blogspot.com as a news update page. I'm
hoping it will prove easier and quicker to add
updates, and therefore mean I'll update it more
often. You will be able to post comments,
which might include, for example, suggestions for
improvement for a new worksheet.

The documents from the FreeDownloads pages
are now also available via SugarSync
(free
registration
required).
SugarSync
allows
you
to
download
one,
several,
or
all
the
documents at once (as a compressed folder).

During
the site move, if typing in "getselfhelp.co.uk" doesn't bring you to
the website, then use "get.gg"
26.2.11
The website has still not moved completely to
the new server. I'm trying to avoid having the website offline as
much as possible.
The
new
server
has
a
temporary
web
address
of
http://174.122.155.43/~getselfh/ so all
we're waiting for now is to move the domain name of getselfhelp.co.uk
Inevitably,
there
will
be
a
period
when
some
of
the
links
to
documents
don't
work. However, I've changed all the document links on the FREE
DOWNLOADS pages to the temporary address, so the links will always work
from those pages.

Due
to
the
increasing
number
of
visitors
to
the
site,
over
the
past few
weeks and months there have been increasing problems such as people not
being able to download items. On the existing shared server, the
popularity of the site has also caused some problems with other
websites who share the server. So, it seems it's time to move to
a private server. This means extra expense and work, but
hopefully, it will result in improved performance and less
problems. Bear with me over the next few days. I'm hoping
to keep 'downtime' to a minimum, and the vast majority of you will not
notice any difference. For those few who might have problems
accessing the site, try again later!

As
this
website
has
increased
in
size
and
number
of
visitors,
so
the
costs of maintaining it are increasing (an average of £127 per
month during 2010, set to rise to £200). It's for this
reason that I have added the column of adverts that are now appearing
on the right side of the page. I hope they aren't too
intrusive. Clicking on the Google adverts (in the tall blue
boxes), which Google ensures are all relevant, makes a small
contribution to the costs of this website. Going to Amazon via
the advert on this site, means I get a small percentage of the sale,
without any extra expense to you.
